Our mission is to build a soccer-specific stadium and a USL Championship Club at the highest levels for local audiences, winning both off and on the pitch. We want to create a place of belonging and pride for locals by growing the Beautiful Game in Northern Nevada.
Reno is one of the fastest-growing communities in the country, and there is demand for professional sports. Not only are residents sports fans, but Reno is home to an active soccer culture with thousands of players of all ages participating in youth, adult, and indoor soccer leagues. The University of Nevada, Reno, is home to an active men’s and women’s athletic department. In 2023, Reno was named the happiest place to live in the U.S., according to Outside Magazine. All of these factors mean Northern Nevada is ready for a club to rally behind. Reno Pro Soccer is laser-focused on bringing an incredible experience at the highest levels to Northern Nevada, both on and off the pitch.
Reno Pro Soccer will kick off with a professional men’s team in the USL Championship.
The identity of Reno’s new pro soccer club starts with the community. We are building our identity and the Club from the ground up through community listening sessions, online surveys, and conversations with stakeholders. The best crests in the world represent a people and place and our worn over the heart; ours will be no different.
We are counting the days to our Inaugural Season. Finalized details to be announced pending construction timelines.
Our new soccer-specific stadium will be built at the former Jones West Ford site along Kietzke Lane, in the heart of Reno.
Demo will begin in spring 2026. A final construction timeline will be released as plans are finalized.
We have future plans to bring a training facility to northern Nevada that would serve as a home base for our team to train, as well as provide access for community use.
We look forward to engaging with our community’s existing youth soccer clubs to explore ways to partner, collaborate, and elevate the amazing work they are doing. We want to support these existing efforts and build upon pathways to pro soccer, on and off the pitch.
We anticipate the club will have a positive economic impact on our community. Our stadium will attract visitors and families to a parcel of town they don’t often frequent but has immense potential. The increased tourism will be a huge boon for the local businesses in our district and will be a source of pride for local residents in our community.
The local government is very supportive of the project. We’ve already engaged with Reno City Council, Sparks City Council, Washoe County Commission, the University, the Latino community, the Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA), the Chamber, Economic Development of Western Nevada (EDAWN), Lt. Governor’s office, and the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED).
